I suppose that an appropriate personage to familiarize you with would be myself! To begin with, I am 657 years of age, healthy, and looking to live until at least 800. I am, if you are unfamiliar with elves, quite old, but not yet ancient. In my life I have seen many, many terrible things: the fall of Uškaya, the invasion of Vul Ganeid, the madness of Jezzk, and the Krik'tha Flood. And yet, I have seen many good things as well

the ascension of a benevolent draconic lord, Neoju Three-Foot, the discovery of an entirely new continent in the far south, the expansion of my beloved Enclave and other professional organizations, and the largest outpouring of dwarven foreign aid in history (in response to the Krik'tha Flood).

By far the most influential even in my life, however, was my acceptance into the Druidic Enclave. I studied for many years at Dar'El Druida and chose to become a Naturalist. I believe that it is my duty as a druid to spread druidic teachings and respect and understanding for nature and the natural order of things. This is why I took the path of the Naturalist. Most of my work and research is in the area of forests, swamps, jungles -- any ecosystem involving trees, really. I have helped cure forest-devastating diseases, develop new and powerful non-magical healing salves, antivenom, and antitoxins. Many non-druids colloquially know this specialty as the "wild magic" druid, referring to the manipulation of the "wild" for combat. Though I do not fight (anymore), I have used this sort of "wild magic" in the past, and I know it decently well, so I think the comparison is fitting.   Now I live, once again, in my ancestral homeland of Jin El Aethis. I do much of my work in Vel'A Sharan, but I am teleported (I am all too willing to let the Nahir pay for me!) to Dar'El Druida to give lessons on druidry at least once a week. This novel, as so many of my other teachings, are not entirely taken from a personal bias and put to page. No, I draw from personal experience, writings, and interviews (mainly these). I travel all across this wonderful world to meet with whomever will give me an audience. I record our conversations using my speech parchment (for those unfamiliar -- a magically enchanted parchment that will write down what you say upon it) and use those interviews to form the articles presented here. Then, dear readers, I think that is enough about me, and now we shall get to the actual discussion which we came here to have in the first place!
