Manskat
Manskat is the primary religion of the Northern Human Realms. Its holy scriptures are filled with teachings ranging from basic cooking to the secret to finding the balance needed in life. Balance dominates the teachings of the Manskatti. The five major Aspects all embody equally important parts of this balance -- and all are taught to be equal and necessary in all creatures.
Bädu: Aspect of tranquility
Isha: Aspect of anger, wrath, and vengeance
Mandu: Aspect of love, brother to Mardu
Mardu: Aspect of hate, brother to Mandu
Dreïda: Aspect of intellect and arrogance
The eternal goal of all devout worshippers is to achieve a perfect balance between these five aspects. However, balance does not mean being neutral forever. Each aspect may manifest itself in a person at any time; if a loved one has been lost, it is not wrong for Isha, Mandu, or Mardu to emerge and dominate as long as they are balanced at another time by Bädu. There is no shame in expressing your inner feelings as they are -- for that is the first step towards conquering them. In practice, there are thousands of gods, minor deities, heroes, and demigods in the Manskat religion. Some deities are only known in specific places of the world. For example, an important stream or river may have a deity meant to embody that stream, but only those who live upon the stream will know it. Similarly, each village or city has its own deities that are worshipped and given sacrifices of incense and grain. No one person knows every deity. In fact, there is a caste of scribe-priests whose sole job is to catalog the uncountable number of minor Aspects, and to record what worship is due to them, and in what regions.
