High Harrack Unarth
A thousand foot rise cuts a disfiguring scar across the northwestern reaches of the Dragondown Coast. Much of the cliff face is filled with ancient statues and monoliths, relics from the long-lost empire of the Nerathilords. Large rock spikes and rippling rock hills make up the plateau of the High Harrack Unarth, creating a natural canyonland that allowing countless rivers to plummets to the land below. These arid and desolate canyonlands are much less populated and hospitable than the broken savannas to the east.
These crag fields are perhaps the most inhospitable locations in all of the Dragondown Coast. This wasteland of ash and sand seems an unlikely place to find any life, but it is home to a number of peoples and creatures who brave the emberstorms and heat. The High Harrack Unarth is highly volcanic with black blizzards known as emberstorms that race across the land, frequent brush fires in the grasslands, and deadly eruptions of poisonous gas.
The northern mountains are rich in diamond mines, but are increasingly hostile to any of the nomadic tribes that attempt to make their living in the Stonemarch. It is said the insectoid Aurmadil and other monsterious creatures infest the eastern part of the mountains, while the high mountains are the domain of the fearsome perytons and the bizarre aberrations known as mooncalves.
Geography
Tree Spires
As one travels beyond the crag fields of the southern portions of the High Harrack Unarth, they are met with many large tree-like Hydrothermal Vents that are covered in small vine-like flora. The biome is dominated by cliffs and small ridges, with noticeable erosion in some areas. The Miser's Pit
Tribal nomads from the north claim that mad dwarf discovered this deep shaft hidden in the High Harrack Unarth. A narrow stair at the edge of the shaft descends at least 500 feet through the earth, leading eventually into the vast expanse churning halls of bone extend beneath the surface like vast tree roots, providing conduits for extraordinary amounts of energy. All focused and channeled deeper into the world skin.Shadar-Kai Keep:
While Palor Altor might be carved between the High Harrack Unarth and the Eastern Harrack Unarth - it would be a shame to forget that it is built in the shadow of the Shadar-Kai Keep. Now laying in ruins, some scholars believe that long ago, soldiers from Nerathi Imperium built a strong fortresswhere they felt that where spirit energy bleeds into the physical world, hoping to prevent shadowy horrors from entering the world. The old keep lies in ruins now, and a new generation of cultists has secretly taken up residence here. They seek to undo the magical wards sealing the Sakendar Isi, and commune with a Golden Eye god on the otherside.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
