Strange Structures

Around the world exist many strange ruins full of valuable treasures, however they aren't easy pickings.
Each of these dungeons varies greatly from on another, and experience in one rarely is useful in another.
Although they are incredibly different from each other every dungeon follows some basic rules;

They all contain many treasures, and at least one artifact.

There is some form of defense against those who enter them, typically monsters or traps.

The contents of a dungeon refresh on a set timer.

The dungeon will always have a final room which contains the artifact.

The dungeons have unknown origins, and many of their mechanisms are yet to be understood.  

Riches and Risk

Those who seek the riches of a dungeon should be aware they risk their lives upon entering.
The deeper one travels into a dudgeon, the more valuable the treasure, but also the greater the danger.
One can expect to encounter various monsters and traps, and sometimes puzzles that prevent progression entirely.
Some dungeons interior layout is constantly shifting, which can result in one becoming disoriented or even stuck inside.
An adventure into a dungeon can often last days and supplies are typically hard to come by in one.
Similarly, a great deal of equipment is often needed to safely traverse a dungeon.
