The Hexalith
The Hexalith, a hivemind-like race of insectoids.
Their Empress, an elegant luna moth, is an immortal being, put in place here to keep the Hexalith under control. They have created a polished government system around their Empress, this government consists of four Generals.
General of Battle - Bullet Ant
The General of Battle is appointed every 200 years. The General of Battle must have at least 50 years of combat experience General of Diplomacy - Monarch Butterfly
The General of Diplomacy is appointed every 100 to 150 years, this time frame is determined by the current views of other races and whether or not the current General alligns with the rest of the universes views. A request for a new General can be voted on by the people if the current General shows that they are out of touch or making things unfair for a certain demographic. General of Nest - Wasp

Anatomy
The shape of the head depends on the subrace of the insectoid, while the number of limbs is determined by the amount of royal blood in the individual. Those with no royal blood have 2 arms, those with more royal blood have 4 or more arms.
Male Hexaliths have more muscle mass than the average female Hexalith.
Genetics and Reproduction
Hexaliths lay eggs, and keep these eggs in their bedrooms until hatching day, when they are taken to the hatching nest. The babies continue to grow for 12 months before hatching.
