Faeor

Basic Information

Anatomy

Faeor have the "normal" amount of limbs, but their legs are are like that of a deer. Their ears are also more like that of a deer, they are fuzzy and a little longer than an elf ear. They're generally thin but muscular, and their legs are a bit longer than what is expected to be "normal".

Genetics and Reproduction

Faeor are an all male race, meaning there are no biological females among their kind. They are gynandromorphs, meaning they have both male and female biological characteristics.   The one who carries the baby is up to each individual couple and is generally decided by who is weaker, so that the stronger partner can take care of the weaker one. Of course, if this is a health risk, it can work the other way around.   It takes 9 months for the baby to be able to survive outside of the father.

Growth Rate & Stages

Faeor have spots on their fur covered legs until they are 14 years of age. Until 14, they are considered children. From 14, they are considered teenagers until the age of 20, as this is when their bodies stop changing and their mind is fully developed. A lot of their growing happens in the later years, after 14 their bones begin to get a tiny bit bigger, and they fill out, and gain a bit of weight, generally mostly muscle. This stops at around 18, while their mind continues to develop.

Ecology and Habitats

The ideal environment for a Faeor village is near a river or lake, with plains nearby, and a forest. This habitat is ideal for many reasons.    The first is the water source. It is easily accessable for drinking, cooking with, or for making plant based dyes. The next reason is the forest. The forests in which Faeor build their homes are lush with food sources, from fuits to wild vegetables, and even animals. The last reason is the plains. Hilled plains can be turned into rice fields, while flat plains can be turned into growing areas for other crops, or even room for building more houses.    Faeor are closely connected to nature, they build houses out of wood, mud, stone, and thatch. They farm things like rice, wheat, and vegetables. They respect the land they live on, only taking a little bit more than what they need.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Faeor have been known to eat very little meat, generally mainly on special festival days and only after respecting the animals life with a small ritual. Faeor have a heavily plant based diet, along with things they get from animals, like milk and eggs.

Faeor are highly friendly and often seen as a peaceful race.
