Ruby Forge
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Ruby Forges are a type of forge furnace that uses the power of Forza Crystals instead of coal to heat up metal. The furnace is connected to a control panel box where there are 2 ruby Forza Crystals. Once two outside switches are flicked, two slightly magically infused brass casings drop onto the rubies. The reaction causes the rubies to generate strong amounts of heat that quickly radiates throughout the forge's magic brass-lined interiors. The brass heats up very quickly because of the ruby and radiates heat throughout the furnace in a very even fashion, allowing for more even heating.
The brass has been infused and enchanted to get a much higher melting point and become to extremely conductive to heat provided by the crystals. The brass itself only transfers heat throughout itself, only radiating out heat in specific areas, thus allowing the forge's insides to heat up, but allow the rest of the furnace to stay a relatively safe temperature.
Manufacturing process
Ruby Forges are usually built on the spot due to their sheer mass. There is a lot of manual labor involved in the assembly of these furnaces. The production of the Forza Crystals and special brass are usually done in designated production factories that specialize in such works.
Significance
With the rising production of the revolutionary Forza Crystals, weaponsmiths found out that they could get a better way on forging their weapons. By using a forge that relied on ruby Forza Crystals instead of coal, smiths found out that they could generate similarly adequate amounts of heat without the need to clean up after charcoal usage.
