Monstrous Race Relations
Darnolia is filled with a menagerie of races. This includes both civilized races and monstrous races. These monstrous beings are scattered everywhere across the world, many of which cause a lot of trouble to the nearby civilizations.
Bugbears
A larger and furrier cousin of goblins, bugbears are straight-up brutes. They are usually hired by other hobgoblins, orcs, or even goblins to accompany them in an attack. In return bugbears are given food and drink, the only things that they ever want. Bugbears are rightfully feared by most people, even by many adventurers. Many new, unprepared adventurers tend to meet their unfortunate fate by a brutal swing from a bugbear's club. Bugbears love to ambush, but will attack in head-on raids if they want.Goblins
Goblins may seem small in size and not very bright, but if given enough numbers, they can become a deadly force of chaos that easily overwhelm an unprepared adventuring party or even an entire village. Rarely, if ever, do goblins ever leave their groups to join civilization. Goblins tend to live in caves and camps and enjoy ambushing unaware folks. Goblins hold grudges for life and do not take slights lightly. They rarely fight fair and are quite nimble on their feet. Experienced adventurers will tell you to never let your guard down when dealing with goblins. Most goblins have greenish skin, pointed ears, and tend use crudely made weapons and armor.Hobgoblins
Hobgoblins are full-sized goblinoids with red-tinted skin. Unlike normal goblins, they are much more advanced in both their equipment and in their life of warfare. Hobgoblins know how to construct decent armor, tools, and weapons and their battle tactics can rival other official military officers. Life is constantly about commanding and conquering the winds of war. One cultural difference between hobgoblins and goblins is that hobgoblins are a tad bit more honorable. They despise dishonorable behavior and will always bring glory to their clans with their fighting.Kobolds
Kobolds are surprisingly uncommon on Darnolia, but when they are found, they are not to be trifled with. They attack trespassers with no hesitation and leave no prisoners. While most consider kobolds to be more like reptilian goblins, some may be surprised in the kobolds' more advanced battle tactics. They aren't as concise like hobgoblin tactics, but they do rely on a lot more than just ambushes. Gnomes are always on every kobold's hitlist. Every single kobold on Tynaria will, with out question, attack gnomes on sight and bring them immense torture before ultimately killing them.Orcs
A prime definition of savagery, orc tribes live to hunt, pillage, fight, and kill. Life is war and orcs relish in it thanks to the influence of the orc god known as Gruumsh. Their lives are more uncivilized than the most savage human tribe out there. They care not for honor, fairness, or respect, only power. If they are not mating to reproduce, they are fighting. If they aren't fighting, they are preparing to fight. Orc battle tactics aren't as pristine as hobgoblins, but they do work in the sense that they take advantage of their large numbers and great strength. Orcs enjoy attacking all types of civilized folks, but elves remain at the highest point of their "to-kill list." Orcs enjoy the sounds of a tortured elf before brutally killing them. All of the races mentioned above are not playable. They canonically are not allowed to be adventurers and are usually apprehended on sight. In turn, these monstrous races never bother to be adventurers.
