"Liquid fuel" is a general term used to describe any processed fuel used for machinery, combustion, etc.
Manufacturing process
The current methods of creating usable liquid fuel derived from crude oil is a process that involves both the usage of machining as well as with some magitech. Any magic used is mainly done as a safety measure, as the process of making liquid fuel can be a bit dangerous. The most basic form of turning crude oil into a more usable fuel is a similar distillation process that liquor-producers use. It is, of course, much more regulated as the fuel produced is still just as flammable and possibly even explosive if ignited in the right/wrong container.
Currently, dwarven settlements and large industrious cities like Thorcester City and Artemis City produce the most amount of liquid fuel.
Significance
Liquid fuel is used in many pieces of machinery, usually paired with Forza Crystals. Liquid fuel predates the Forza Crystal by several decades, but it is still used very frequently in the 6th century. One machine that can run on liquid fuel is the iconic Forza Wagon. While they can run purely on just their Forza crystal engine and some water, the use of a liquid fuel does allow for an increased power output as well as being able to reduce the stress that the crystal engines need to go through.
