Commanding Paladin Harbek Slatestone
One of the grand-descendants of the original king of the Mt. Slated civilization, Harbek Slatestone is a fierce fighter against evil. Not enjoying Mt. Slated's isolated livings, Harbek ventured out into Darnolia where he eventually found Diolamus, Cordomo. There, he began to study the religion of Erlanism and found out about the Blades of Hope. Harbek's amazing skills allowed him to slowly rise up the ranks, where he now resides as a Mandatum Paladinus.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Harbek is 3'11" and is very bulky with muscle. He has long grey head hair and a scruffy looking grey beard.
Facial Features
Harbek, like all male dwarves, has a beard. The beard hair is grey, 4" long, and very scruffy and unkempt. Despite the fact that he is quite young for a dwarf, his face has a considerable amount of wrinkles and a couple of facial scars that he gained through battle.
Identifying Characteristics
Due to a particularly violent conflict with a team of cultists, Harbek ended up having his right arm's bones completely shattered by several attacks. After escaping the battle with a narrow victory, he managed to get a special prosthetic arm fitted to him. This arm is made out of brass and hardened steel and allows for exact movement like his original arm.
Apparel & Accessories
Harbek wears some mildly enchanted chainmail armor over a light gambeson. He wears a surcoat that displays the Battle Erlanist symbol in gold. Like everyone else in the Blades of Hope, he wears a Battle Erlanist pendant necklace.
Specialized Equipment
His main weapon of choice while on duty is a steel-reinforced ironwood maul that has been engraved by himself. This maul has been enchanted to deal extra damage and also allows him to call the maul to his hands as long as its within 100ft of him. His backup weapon is just a pair of simple handaxes.

Personal history
Harbek Slatestone was born in Mt. Slated in 325 and is one of the grand-descendants of the original king of settlement. Throught most of his life until he was 50, Harbek worked as a mines guard, protecting miners from any possible underground threats. He has had a pretty impressive kill streak, totalling around 54 monsters of varying sizes and strength.
When Harbek was 50, he started to gain more and more interest of the outside world. Before then, he could count the number of times he went outside on one hand. After some convincing to both his family and the king, Harbek was allowed to leave the settlement under the promise that he would never turn to evil. Harbek packed up supplies and decided to leave the settlement forever.
2 years of traveling led Harbek to Diolamus in Cordomo. There, he managed to find the hidden church military group known as the Blades of Hope. He registered in and was qualified after going through the extremely rough initial training sessions. Years went on and Harbek eventually made it to the role of Commanding Paladin. He remains in that position to this day.

Family Ties
Harbek has connections back to his home settlement within Mt. Slated. He technically has royal blood within him and thus has more recognition amongst his kin of dwarves.
Religious Views
Harbek used to be a follower of Moradin, the Dwarf God. However, when he discovered the Erlanist Church, he more or less abandoned his original following in favor of Erlanism. This eventually went from an initial interest to full-on devotion to the Erlanist Church and his will to fight for the church and protect the lands.
Social Aptitude
Due to his combination of seeing frequent combat as well as being a mountain dwarf, Harbek can come off as abrasive and sometimes straight-up frightening. He never has any intentions to hurt inoccent people, but his constant scowl makes it seem like he would strike anyone who even looked at him the wrong way. Because of this intimidating aura of his, anyone who may try to slight or insult him by making fun of his height usually don't even gain the nerves to even say it.
He himself doesn't usually seek out conversation that doesn't have anything to do with his work or with the current situation.
