Fate Grand Order: Tynarian Tales

Fate Grand Order: Tynarian Tales is a chapter-based campaign set in Tynaria Alt. The campaign begins at level 3 and will be continuously going for as long as chapters are written. Party composition is still flexible; however, it is still recommended that at least one Summoner is played. This campaign is recommended for players and Game Masters that are already familiar with the Fate series and how certain systems work. The systems within the game are not a 1-to-1 copy, but terminology and trends would require more effort by those not familiar with the series.

Synopsis

After the 6th Holy Grail War of the year 600, the Holy Grail was destroyed via Bukatelia’s representative servant’s Noble Phantasm. It was an action that was always thought of to be impossible, and yet it was done. When the Grail was destroyed, all of the ancient magical energy within the Grail was suddenly released all across Tynaria Alt. The level of magical energy across the world had increased to the point where certain never-before-seen anomalies began to occur. With an increased occurrence of natural-born magic users to the sudden surge in magic-enhanced animals, the events that have unfolded after the Grail’s destruction have surely caused intrigue to the many minds of the world   However, new sorcerers and magical woodland beasts would be of least concerns to the world. In the year 625 an international association of mages and intellectuals known as the Gaia-Stella Organization reported an appearance of what could only be described as a rip in the weave. This rip could lead into different planes of existence and perhaps even to different timelines. The researchers found out that this rip appeared because somewhere within that plane/time of existence, something major happened. Something altered certain courses of events that eventually led to the formation of the rip and may potentially lead to the destruction of said universe. Fearing a potential domino effect, the GSO began planning for some intervention.   In the year 640, the GSO completed their massive Trans-Planar Portal Project (T3P) that would be used to fully investigate the rip, as well as any more that could occur. However, they needed strong individuals to traverse into the rip. They released requests all across the lands to call for warriors, wizards, and anyone else who was ready for some cross-planar adventures.

Expectations/Game Style

This campaign will have a variety of stakes that can range from trivial to cut-throat. As such, smart play is advised, and teamwork should be considered essential. The players are responsible for making sure that these arcane anomalies are properly contained and dealt with before they potentially spread to dangerous levels. The game setting will, as always, be non-traditional when compared to standard Dungeons and Dragons. While the main changes are lore-based, it is still something to consider when playing.

Character Swapping

At the end of every chapter, the players are allowed to make new characters in order to experiment with. Along with characters, gear like magical items and enchantable weapons are also swappable. This is to reflect the fact that there are many people at Osservatoria Primaria waiting to be chosen to embark on a quest.
