Arlington
Arlington is a town located on the arid plains of a valley called the Milegran Steppes, where vegetation is sparse and the ground hard to till. Arlington grew adjacent to a water source called the Oxneau River and a well-traveled road that intersects trade routes leading west towards the Chimeric Kingdoms, and north to the Alis Territories, and is comprised largely of humans. Arlington is part of a confederacy of tribes unified by the current dynasty of the Miloszian Khurungate, which worships many nature-related spirits and heroes. A Dogahn, or priestly leader, designates ceremonies to the Lord of the Loom & Field, Pelathin as a part of the Sarakarai selection.
The muddy expanse where streets meet serves as a town square and marketplace capable of performing a Sarakarai, a slave-auction headed by the town's Dogahn. The few stalls here look like the wares of traveling merchants rather than local folk, as they sell things that people in the village can’t make or trade for themselves. A stone well stands on the side of the square. Corn dollies, little humanoid effigies made from straw, surround its base.
The community is known for its agrarian citizenry, with much of its farmland placed south, downhill from the town proper, as well as for its militia of farmers and soldiers. They are governed by a Krelmen, an elective officiated by the Krol whose land he governs. These people were once nomadic, whether, by inclination or necessity, the community is central to where they are. Their primary form of agriculture and trade is sheep and goat herding, to which they give as taxes towards the Khurungate and the Stewards. The little money they earn from working for landowners or trading livestock allows the people of Arlington funds to spend on passing merchants, or even a slave to aid in their labors.
Government
A council of elders headed by a Miloszian Krol, or lord. The Miloszian people make up a wide range of culturally different peoples under the rule of the Khurungate.
Industry & Trade
This community has a focus on exporting their farmed animals (using rangeland) while they cannot access (due to natural barriers) precious stones or metal (large underground caverns). Regarding the main resource, it is nearly exhausted.
The town is full of tradesmen, perhaps more than the town really needs.
Assets
The Town practices Sarakarai, a public assembly to where prisoners are taken to either be sold into slavery - commonly practiced in the Khurungate - or executed before the Rajib-Cadir in sacrifice to Pelathin.
Prisoners taken for sacrifice are given to the Dogarhu that is said to dwell in the swamplands south of Arlington. In return, the Dogarhu is thought to protect the village, and give the farmlands facing the swamp nourishment.

Geography
North of Arlington is an expanse of forest surrounding an active Volcano named Oxneau. The forest of which the river Danji flows from, however, has been deadened over time, and the water now has a metallic taste, is known as the Deprived Forest. Home to warbands of gnolls who, although once content, are now struggling to survive.
Rumors of this town say that the dangerous creatures in the thick forest nearby refuse to pass the tree line where the town was built. There are ancient glowing stones dug deep into the ground in a circular pattern around the town and nobody knows the origin of them as it has been lost with time.
