Chrono Chaos - Barbarian Path

Those who walk the Path of Chrono Chaos are not mere barbarians but believers in the power of Balangorde, the God of Order & Entropy. Their rage is not just a manifestation of anger but a weave of time itself, the dance of order and entropy. Devotees of the Angshire Spirits or the Balanian Sect can harness this power to command the very fabric of time during their bouts of rage. These temporal warriors can seemingly alter the flow of moments, making them both unpredictable and formidable in combat.   To embrace this path is to understand that there's a rhythm in the chaos, and while it may look unpredictable, it follows the grand design of Balangorde. With each increasing level, their connection to Balangorde strengthens, granting them powerful and unique abilities that challenge the boundaries of reality itself.

Chrono Rage

At 3rd level, when you enter your rage, you don't just unleash anger but tap into the temporal energy around you. When you rage, choose one of the following effects:
  • Temporal Speed: Double your speed for the duration of your rage.
  • Momentary Stasis: During your rage, as a reaction to being hit by an attack, you can halt time momentarily. The attack misses, and you move up to half your speed without provoking opportunity attacks. You can do this up to a number of times equal to half your strength modifier (minimum of once, rounded up).
  • Ageing Strike: Your melee weapon attacks age whatever they touch. Each successful attack reduces the target's speed by 10 feet until the end of their next turn (this effect can stack until the target has no movment).

  • Temporal Leap

At 6th level, you can make a brief leap through time. As a bonus action, you can jump forward in time, disappearing from your current location and reappearing at the same location at the start of your next turn. During this time, you cannot be targeted or affected by any attacks, spells, or other effects. You can use this feature once every rage, and you can also use it once when not raging until you finish a long rest.

    Balangorde's Balance

At 10th level, Balangorde grants you the ability to maintain balance in the midst of chaos. While raging, you can't be paralyzed or stunned. Additionally, if an effect would move you against your will, you can use your reaction to resist it, negating the effect.

    Temporal Catastrophe

At 14th level, you can unleash the full fury of Chrono Chaos. As an action while raging, you can shatter the timeline around you. Each hostile creature within a 20-foot radius must make a Constitution saving throw (DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier). On a failed save, the creature takes 5d10 force damage, ages by 1d10 years, and is stunned until the end of its next turn. Non-hostile creatures within range also age (if they fail the saving throw). On a successful save, the creature takes half damage and isn't aged or stunned. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until after a long rest.
