Structure
The Ash keeper leads the cult in all matters, underneath the ash keeper is the watchers who keep vigils, enforce rules and help with the general running of the cult. Beneath them are enforcers who are the physical section of the cult's rules.
Territories
The cult secretly raided and forcefully holds territory in the Salvechena hills in the country of Arda.
Mythology & Lore
When the world was reborn from the ashes of once before, Mennin was one of the first gods to raise up. Mennin is the deity of darkness and death and rose to contradict the Deity of light and birth.
Divine Origins
On a forgotten battlefield one soldier laid dying in the dust, as they faded in and out of consciousness they dreamed of the cities of hell. They saw the stone arches and buildings crumbling around and with each step they made they crumbled further. Only when the first ash keeper stopped and looked up did they see the living image of Mennin staring down upon them a frown upon their face. A hand stretched out before them, they reached to grasp it but felt themselves being pulled back from the darkness they had previously fallen into before. When the first ash keeper awoke healed and alive did they notice a shadowed figure stand before them, believing this to be Mennin they listened as te figure described that he had been brought back as he's job was not yet finished and by following in the path of necromancy could he aid in the rebuilding of hell into the heaven it was meant to be.
Tenets of Faith
- The Ash keeper words are merely the will of the god Mennin voiced.
- The people of Espaldenia have drifted away from the original vision of Mennin and have been chosen to correct the path of mortals who have estranged from this.
- The death of a person is an honour as it is a chance to be truly reborn in the image of Mennin.
- The deviled horned Teiflings are the true chosen of Mennin and have been misguided by faiths like the Talzer and The religion of Light. Therefore it is the duties of the members of this rogue group of worshipers of Mennin to offer those demons as a sacrifice to the diety so that they may serve their true purpose as his servants in hell.
