Organised the formation of the armies of the Theocracy, was the first Patriarch to take to the field of battle himself. Considerably more interested in the military aspects of his role than the religious ones.
The first female Patriarch, widow of the Fourth, ascended the throne after the Woman's Coup. Refused to take the name Mikhail, known by some as Mikhaila but officially Alida.
Son of the fourth and fifth Patriarchs. Named Johann but took Johann-Mikhail upon assumption of the throne.
Son of the sixth Patriarch. Attempted to add the 21st Precept confirming that his familiar held the Patriarchy in perpetuity

Used as a tool by senior clerics to remove the seventh in retaliation for his attempt to make the position hereditary but proved adept at manipulating public opinion. Positioned herself as "saviour of the faith" to the commoners to the extent it was politically impossible to not make her Patriarch.
Traditionalist elevated as something of a backlash against the eighth, resumed the tradition of taking the name "Mikhail" on appointment. Wanted to return the Theocracy to a farming focus. Executed by the military.
The military refuse to allow an election for new Patriarch to go ahead "at the current time", stopping just short of an outright coup - always claiming that the current war means the continuity and stability provided by powerful generals outweighs "for the moment" the need to appoint a new Patriarch.
A senior cleric, born as Mikhail, declares himself Patriarch with the backing of his lover, one of the senior generals. For a while it looked like civil war was inevitable but fast diplomacy from both the military and the faith - which swung behind Mikhail as an attempt to regain their influence - forestalled it.
Kept the Patriarchal throne warm without any major accomplishments or failures. Many surviving records from his reign mention his abnormally long arms.
Appointed as Twelth Patriarch. Died when her horse reared suddenly and was found, on her death, to be a Doppelganger - it's not clear at what point she was replaced and her body was never found. After her death her Patriarchy was declared null and she does not form part of the official ordering of Patriarchs.
In response to the Doppelganger threat, signed the Treaty of Karadport with the Kingdom of Karad, ending several hundred years of war. The two polities combined their attention southwards towards Dus A Thanal and the Doppelganger homelands. Made the Ploughing of the First Field an annual event to catch Doppelganger infiltrators in the senior clergy
