Anore
Anore is the largest coastal city in the empire, and one of its 10 Cantons. It is one of the most loyal branches to Serenel, and has not produced a rebellion since the Ascension. Famed for its shipyards and fishing sector, it was once the seat of the Lord himself.
Government
The Anoran branch of the imperial ministries are highly loyal to the Lord and the capital. The ministry here is like a well oiled machine, keeping a constant covert eye on its subjects. Should one find themselves here as punishment for a crime, it is not unlikely they will be shipped out to the sea locked prison of Heren Shore. The arriving prison trains are often displayed as a sign of warning before the condemned are sent off.
Most believe the grasp the ministry has on Anore specifically is not a coincidence. While the fact that it was once the seat of the Lord himself before the construction of Sorenel contributes to this fact, It is widely theorized that there must be some other reason. The official response of the harbor town being important to the navy's protection endeavors is considered to be flawed by many as well. Such opinions are of course not voiced, for fear of the ministry's wrath.

Industry & Trade
Anore is known to be the only large harbor town in the empire. It has several shipyards along the waterfront, which sustain the city's economy. There are numerous hangars where noblemen can store their private vessels, and a couple of large docks where ships headed for far and near depart.
Like elsewhere in the empire, the majority of the manual labor is conducted by the Frese under strict supervision. They are employed in the shipyards and man the fishing boats sent into the bay every day.

History
Anore is older than the Lord himself, which is evident in its architectural style. The narrow alleyways and crooked buildings tell stories of days long past. Before the construction of the lord's palaces in Sorenel, he primarily took up residence in the Temple-Palace outside of Anore.
Geography
The town is built on the rocky shores and beaches of Anore bay. While it is surrounded by beaches, they are not as popular noble travel location as the ones found north of Eskanel.
The Erannel mouths into the bay, and allowed for trade to flourish between Anore and the other Erannel towns and providing arguably fresh water to the city.

Natural Resources
The waters of Anore bay are rich in seafood and fish, which along with the ship construction industry forms the backbone of the city's economy. There is a large fishing sector, as such many districts of the town stinks like fish.
