Ao
The Overgod. Creator and overseer of the universe. They have omnipotence over all of creation, not even Gods or Primordials can ignore Their commands and laws. How Ao came to be is unknown, at least partially on purpose. They were created after the rest of the universe, but not long after. Ao has watched and helped the universe along, but never controlled it's evolution. Only guided, as per self-made tenets. They have never shown themselves and only vague knowledge of their existence is known to mortals. Most gods and goddesses were made by Ao to create balance and have deities to fill portfolios. The ones that were not, such as Mask, Bane, Bhaal and Kelemvor, and The Raven Queen, he raised up the rank of God from mortal status.
