Chapter 2.5: Casino Royale
Our intrepid adventurers continue their journey, beginning by getting Corrin a new flute. Scepter of course tries to steal one, but Corrin pays for it anyway. Kaliyà rejoins the group after having a little snakey snacky, to Corrin and Scepter's disgust. Kaliyà leaves to go take care of some feminine stuff and Corrin and Scepter take this opportunity to hopefully make some money gambling. Like always Corrin is a bit of a spoil sport, though without his help Scepter wouldn't be able to get into the House Inn Casino at all. The bouncer offers Corrin a job after hearing his flute playing skills, he is told to talk to a man named Brick. In the casino, Scepter again wants to test his stealing chops. He meets a drunk man who's lost his life's savings, obviously he has nothing on him. He tries to instead try his luck at Magic Poker, but is down 40 silver before he cheats and is now only down 10 silver. Corrin looks into that job offer, and works out a deal with Brick before thoroughly backstabbing him and putting everyone in the casino to sleep. Well, almost everyone. Brick and one of his guards resist his sleepy song. A fight ensues! Kaliyà comes to check on the boys only to be dragged into this impromptu battle. Scepter decides to do what he came here for and begins stealing. First he steals some rings and a magic trinket from an extremely wealthy man. He then steals a total of 11 Electrum, 12 Gold, and 3 Silver from the tables littered about the Casino floor. In the fight Kaliyà is injured and bardic healing seems to be damaging her.
