"The music had played, and so children had stayed Where wives and women closed their eyes And light faded from beautiful fireflies The men drew their swords But were nothing against the hordes And so there was Blood Bay   The children stayed The women prayed The men were slayed And Ultarnians payed.   What was once water, is now crimson red, and the city is nothing but dead." ~ A local poetic song among bards in Ultarn
Blood Bay was a small city, once well known for its trade. It was once owned by Ignis, until the splitting of the continents. Back then, It was titled Craydon. When it just survived the Earth Quakes the Corruption brang, the city created a large port and was well known for its trade around the continent via boats, and it became Craydon Bay. They had fish imports to rebuild their civilisation and trade, and then they had boat hire. It took a few years before they started seeing signs of malformed fish from other regions, rumoured to have been affected by the corruption itself.   Craydon was full of life and music, there was often Shanties, and positive atmosphere to begin help the next generation recover from the splitting, and those who they have lost. But the loss would only follow this unfortunate town.

Government

Craydon Bay was ruled by a Thawn, or at least that what it was called when the inhabitants had lived in Ignis, when it came to ruling in Ultarn, the Thawn became a mayor and had a small council that included a coin keeper, a boat master and a general advisor to help with matters across the town. If anything, Craydon held the political systems of a sound city.    Tax was a little bit high here as the rulers sill carried out taxation laws often utilised in Ignis, but they were sure to send what they needed to the capital (Ventris) to earn their keep. They abandoned Ignian Laws and adapted to the life of Ultarn and worked for citizenships.

Defences

The defences in this city were rather strong, as many of the citizens have strength bred into them from Ignis.
  • Cannons
  • Warships
  • Guard Posts
  • Small soldier quadrant (About 30 men and women)
  • Water bombs (Provided by small technology merchant who passed through town)

Industry & Trade

The Industry had thrived from its water services around the continent, whether that be transporting goods, or getting people where they need to go. They also were well known for their fish and seafood supplies.

Infrastructure

The buildings here were sturdy, and well built. It consisted of watermills and water wheels, strong docks, large bridges connecting buildings developed above the water. There were large shipyards. A common staple here, were beautiful pane windows as a fine glass smith owned a small store here.

  • 13,498 DL- (Current Day)
The Battle of Blood Bay The Battle of Blood Bay took place during a week of festivities, a sea festival that the Mayor had decided to host to celebrate years of the village's success despite their hardship. People from towns all over had come to enjoy the week of water games, gambling ships, and music. Then, ships decorated in dragons and green flags had sailed in quickly on the third day, covered by the fog of the dark weather, as if the world had decided it would be a dark day. Horns we blown the moment the ships were seen by guards, but the cannons fired right away. Ignis had attacked with a thousand soldiers, only a fraction of the Scaled Army, and they had hit hard. Vengeance on this town that abandoned their citizenship in Ignis, and their allegiance to Falcon Claw would be had, and the target was well chosen as it would shut down much of the trade around the continent. It was one of three big attacks taken on coastal villages that year, but the Battle of Blood Bay was far more gruesome than the rest, especially as the King of Falcon Claw had joined this battle himself.
