Tindle the Wandering Gale
Race: Halfling
Class: Monk
Role: Former village guard, secret thief of the Lifted Candle Stick, and infamous pirate under the High Captain
Background Summary:
Tindle is a seasoned adventurer who’s walked three very different paths. Once a protector of his tree-top halfling village, he was recruited into the covert Lifted Candle Stick guild for his agility and cunning. Years later, he earned notoriety as a pirate under the feared High Captain, making his name known across coastal towns. His unique identity blends disciplined martial prowess with underworld intrigue and swashbuckling swagger.
Appearance:
- Height & Build: Around 3 feet tall, wiry and athletic, with lean muscle developed from years of climbing, sprinting, and fighting.
- Face & Hair: Sharp hazel eyes gleaming with mischief. Scruffy brown hair tied into a short ponytail, streaked with salt and sun-bleached at the tips. A small scar across his left eyebrow adds character.
- Expression: A cocky grin or a knowing smirk, depending on the situation.
Outfit (Layered Symbolism):
- Village Guard: Wears a stitched leather chest harness and arm guards, originally dyed green and brown for forest patrols. A faded leaf-shaped insignia of his village is embossed into the shoulder.
- Thieves’ Guild: Over that, a sleek black sash wraps diagonally across his chest, embroidered subtly with the Lifted Candle Stick symbol. Thieves’ tools are tucked into a pouch on his hip.
- Pirate Life: He wears a weathered red captain’s scarf tied around one bicep, and gold hoop earrings (one for each ship he’s helped plunder). A tattoo of a kraken climbs his left calf.
- Footwear: Classic monk wraps on his hands and feet for silent movement and dexterity—weather-worn, but sturdy.
- Accessories: A looped rope bracelet made of materials from his home tree, the mast of his first pirate ship, and the bindings from a stolen noble’s tome.
Weapons & Poses:
- Weapons:
- Quarterstaff, worn smooth from use, with steel bands near the tips.
- A pair of chained iron rings used for disarming or tripping.
- A hidden dagger in his boot, a souvenir from his thief days.
- Neutral Pose: Standing with staff across his shoulders behind his neck, arms resting casually over it. Weight on one foot. A knowing smile.
- Action Pose: In mid-leap or crouched in motion, staff spinning, cloak fluttering—ready to strike with agile grace.
