The Everlasting Tree

The everlasting tree is the guardian of the Fyred Woods, said to have stood in the centre of the forest for over five thousand years, before the reign of Man began.

The current tender of the tree is Orbark the Everroot and he has been caring for the tree for the past 200 years.

History

The Everlasting Tree is rumored to be one of the World Trees. Trees that have been around since the creation of the planes, and ground their regions to reality while acting as a source for the magic to flow into the world.

The Everlasting tree was attributed with the empire being forced out of the forest, with rapid forestry regrowth tree manipulation forcing them to pull back.

Fruit of the World Tree

A rare fruit — the Fruit of the World — sprouts from the tree in the presence of those in need. it is said to be a blessing on the journey the recipient is on and will grant them special powers.

Habitants

Although most forest creatures live within the trees, none reside within the Everlasting Tree itself, as that is reserve for hurt creatures of those in need.

Many creatures however has chosen their homes to be within a close proximity of the tree, enjoying living within its magical Aurora and feelings of calm and growth.
