The Copper Trail
As long as trade routes have been established, The Copper Trail has been walking them to collect donations from the wealthier travellers, or those of ill conscious.
Spreading access to food, and relocation assistance are two of the main ways the trail helps out those in need. Other ways include bringing experienced craftsmen to remote communities to teach skills and as a way to subsidize the goods of a master crafter.
Merchant Involvement
Many merchant clans of the Atyrian empire donate to The Copper Trail on a regular basis, seeing it as a point of pride to be able to donate more — and hoping the trail chooses to relocate more people to settlements where you are the dominant trader.
Merchants known to donate regularly to The Copper Trail are
- The Skelsburys
- The Mercules
- Dillersburnt Trading Co
Caravan Service
The Copper Trail operates caravan services along all terrestrial trading routes in the empire. Traveling in large groups at regular intervals has proven to be beneficial to all persons, by providing a guarded unit, with many services that could be required such as repairs, freelancers or taverns.
Players can pay a small fee to travel in the caravan or can seek hire as a mercenary for the travel. Routes traveled in a caravan tend to take less time and offer less random interactions.
Empirical Relationships
The Copper Trail and the Atyridon empire have a good relationship, the trail will often provide priority feedback on the conditions of paths and dangers along them to the empire.
No empirical guards on duty are allowed to travel with The Copper Trail, as it is said their presence can make their mission of providing for those in need more difficult.
