Spell Clustering

this information was found in a vacated dorm, one of the college janitors after they were clearing out a room for the new cycle of students found a standard issued college book (The standard issued college book (add link)), seemed to be a draft of a students understanding of their lessons, (page 72: Spell Clustering)
A permanent symptom similar to a scab or brose were their is left over unreleased spell energy when someone casts a spell incorrectly, substituting materials for other things or casting spells with the wrong semantic gestures.
its a little different for what kind of spell school you are casting from and it is found that spell that come from schools that are more aggressively focused also yield worse symptoms.
  • Necromancy, risk level 3/5: you might undergo Necrosis for the point you cast your spell from and whatever is connected, loss of appendages or rotting to the degree that you look like a zombie or ghoul, in high degrees and greater spells cast your brain might just rot.
  • Conjuration, risk level 5/5: Conjuration can display a very invisible version of Spell Clustering, with conjuring animals or extra planer creatures you might find yourself emotional stance and natural alignment leaving yours and leaning towards the creatures you summon, or in even worse circumstances when Conjuring yourself to another place you might reappear with less you than before as it likely detaches and lands some ware else, you might even just lose your head literally or figuratively.
  • Abjuration, risk level 1/5: Adjuration being a more protection focused spell school, the untrained caster might find that they are growing calluses faster than normal, greater degrees of abjuration could be considered good because some spell that are helpful linger in your body kind of similar to antibodies in a way
  • Divination, risk level N/A: Divination magic even in miner degrees are incredibly hard to learn spells, so the odds that someone would learn how to cast Divination spells and not understand how to correctly cast them with the right materials and semantics and the dangers of not doing so, are second to non. some teaches have theorised what if somebody somehow would get a spell cluster from casting divination spell untrained might have somebody permanently being able to look at a certain location, or know were and object is at all times, In any circumstance it would be rather miner.
  • Enchantment, risk level 3/5: Enchanters might notice that there features are permanently changed looking more appealing and attractive, or they might give a more non aggressive vibe. it is often seen that unpractised casting of Enchantment magic will almost always end up with Spell Clustering appearing immediately, it is not advised. note: we at The College of Wonder And Ruin deem this as a risk rating of 3/5 because it to someone's emotional control can just go away and kill you in a way that only looking in to the void can describe.
  • Evocation, risk level 5/5: fun fact, when somebody learns how to cast an evocation spell the text that someone reads it off of will always say and I quote "warning if you are reading this text to learn how to cast an evocation spell and you have never had any training on how to cast spells, stop reading immediately. the likeliness that you will be casting this spell on yourself, instead of where you want it, is 100% going to happen. think off all the things you have that keep you wanting to be alive, don't cast this spell you are worth more than looking cool - Galdon "Alina" Master of Evocation, Tutor of Extended Evocation (at the Mages' College of Wonder and Ruin)" so yea if you cast evocation and don't know what your doing you will cast it on yourself, not like a wound, you probably will just die.
  • Illusion, risk level 2/5: the worst case recorded scenarios are people going completely invisible and blind, or illusory artifacts of jumbled shapes and elementals features clinging to the person, fortunately the idea of illusory magic with all spells is they are more based in deception of sight so you don't actual get physically harmed... in most cases.
  • Transmutation, risk level 4/5: Transmuting things is fun, but not when you accidently put tungsten, wood, uncleansed acid, star material, lead and worse things in your body. that kind of thing is not supposed to be there, it can kill you and it will, people have slowly and painfully turned in to stone... people have turned in to gold, and they were then melted and shaped in to ingots. its terrifying, and its awesome.
