Bomb Barnacles are a creature that are born when a sea fareing ship or any kind of wood is exposed to high battle damage from cannon fire or high explosives and charcoal soot. when the right combanation are together the soot instantaniously changes in spors that grow in to firery exlosive shells that look and reproduce similar to a barnicle.
Bomb Barnacles are living creatures and tense against reciving preccure on there rather fragile shells. when there shells get crushed or broken there insides burst in an intesly hot blast of energy.
Because of this second hand strikes on ships when they have bomb barnicles grown on them, the ship suffers increadible damage in increadibly short amounts of time.

Bomb Barnacles are ruff textured small half to two inches wide barnacles composed of muscles teeth and a very fragile shell, when there shells are broken because of how there anatomically composed it pulls open there insides and causes them to explode in a small burst of fire and ash spreading there soot (spores) in a small area around them as a fiery hail Mary to try and spread and survive.
