A beast of mammalian descent can automatically smell the fungus within 30 ft. of it, and beyond that point within 60 ft. has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks to detect the fungus if using its sense of smell.
A creature who eats the fungus, that is neither a construct nor undead, must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1d6 hours and has its speed is halved. The poisoned creature is deafened and if it uses its dash action, it must first succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or fall prone before it continues its movement.
