On Magic
A battalion of warriors is torn apart by a massive ball of fire appearing seemingly from nowhere. A wizard escapes his collapsing tower by taking a leap and forgetting to fall. Something about resurrection. Magic seems like a source of limitless possibility and unrealistic feats, and indeed to the keen mind it may be, however on Torre its source is something very real with very real limits.
Manifestation
Pure Irlazium is found in the form of crystals growing all throughout Torre's caves and underground, though due to its attractive nature it tends to clump into large deposits in areas of higher concentration. "Magic" as we describe it is made possible on Torre through an elementary particle, thought to be an element, known as Irlazium after its discoverer Iralyzst Asiashen. This particle is the matter that originally made up the being known as Venar, however since its shattering now flows through all things in the known universe sometimes, unlike other quarks, clumping with itself to create solid matter and sometimes clumping with other quarks to create atoms and elements. This attraction is the basis of its role in the universe, it has its own force of attraction lateral to strong weak forces that is possible to manipulate on a large scale to create fantastic reactions.
