Simon Slipperyhands
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Simon Slipperyhands is a lean, red-scaled dragonborn teenager, his scales glimmering with a faint coppery sheen where the light hits them. His face is sharp and angular, with a narrow snout and golden, watchful eyes that always seem to be calculating. Despite his youth, there’s a hardness to his expression that suggests he’s learned to survive through wit and caution.
Apparel & Accessories
He dresses in dark, practical leathers reinforced with riveted bracers, giving him a roguish, streetwise appearance. A hooded black cloak drapes over his shoulders, shadowing much of his face and lending him an air of secrecy.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Simon was one of the first Keepers of the Feather. Even though he was just fifteen years old, he was always keen on learning more about natural magic and its abilities and therefore helped Blaire in the laboratory. After The Dissipation hit Simon, he started feeling more and more useless. How could he possibly help Blaire Martikov if he was unable to perform his job without magic?
After an argument with Nemeia Pesphian , he left the Keepers of the Feather.
Employment
Currently, Simon is the leader of a group of 20 urchins in Neverwinter's Night Market. He cares for them deeply and throughout the years he has helped numerous children from starvation by teaching them how to fend for themselves. They are his treasure, and he is their big brother.
Simon has the respect of most people from Neverwinter's Night Market, for he is able to give so many children the chance at another sunrise.
Failures & Embarrassments
Simon believes that magic is what gives him purpose and value, but after falling victim to The Dissipation, he sought out different manners of magic. Eventually, like many other ex-apprentices, he sought out a god in order to become a warlock. His desperation and anger with an invisible force eventually linked him to Tiamat, the goddess of hatred an fury. Even though Simon did regain magical powers, his fury, greed, passion and hatred resulted in him regularly stealing things from the other Keepers of the Feather.
The night when Nemeia Pesphian caught him breaking into Maurice's office to steal an unknown magical artifact was the last night he wore the Keeper's sigil. He left out of shame, and under threat of Nemeia.
Social
Mannerisms
Standing a little shorter than most adult dragonborn, Simon still carries himself with surprising confidence, his stance radiating both defiance and wary mistrust. The faint scuffs and wear on his armor suggest he’s already lived a rough life, one that’s forced him to grow sharper than most his age.
