The Dragon Scales

Once you get near Cormyr again, that is the formal name of the Abbey Marro & Jarris trained at. It is like Quantico for your division of investigators. There are the physical warriors that are the town guard known as the purple dragons. And there are the Cormyrian War Wizards (Can't find a better name for them...but taking suggestions, that is legit what they are called). You are in a wing of the War Wizards that is more in the line of assessors. You are trained in combat and wizardry to defend yourself, King and Country. Marro did less combat training since he took on a specialty study (necromancy). But you are basically like Societies secret shoppers. You go into places, check things and people out. Trained to spot magical and mundane threats, investigate, stop if able, request back up if needed, and report back any findings. You are kind of freelance agents. It is understood adventuring pays for itself, but if you needed items or what have you, especially for missions, you could get them at a substantial discount. You get room and board if desired in Cormyr (but if you stay long term, they will give you a day job), and if you are ever in trouble with another government, they will defend you and negotiate your release *unless it is determined you were acting with malice.
