We decide to head over to port Gamby, since several of us look like Foreigners. We call a longboat and travel to port Gamby, and decide to start looking for information at a tavern. Luna eats Aid on horse. Starus, and Koda.
Looking around we see not buildings, a few goliaths and halflings moving around. In addition there are several street vendors selling food. Luna sees a store selling common clothes and buys 2 sets for 1gp total. Luna changes into the new clothing (removing armor) to blend in. Icarus buys Saur skewer for lunch and asks the vendor about the city, where they get their food (about their supply network). He recommends staying away from dock sushi, and he talks about the fishing and Saur meat. A gong sounds signaling the end of lunch break. Icarus talks to the vendor again and he says that the Iron Crows don't tolerate thievery and that people pay them to ensure things don't happen, and it seems to be working.
Out of the corner of my eye, Luna sees a large figure in an alleyway, looking rough and flipping a coin.

This individual seemed very interested in us. Luna takes notice of this and takes her coin out and start flipping in in the same manor. The man catches it, and disappears into allya. Luna alerts the party and we follow down the allya. While just a little past mid-day the ally is fairly dark. The man ducks into a cross-ally. As we follow, we hear the sounds of a magical industrial hammer. The man disappears and we continue to follow his recent foot prints. We lose his trail in several other foot prints. It doesn't appear were being watched. A detect magic does not reveal anything other than what we'd expect being near a dock with magical industrial equipment. Scattered along the ally are commode barrels (for human waste) and refuse bin with bits of metal with no magical residue. We continue looking and come to a cul-de-sac and a man-hole into sewers. On the crest of the manhole it says "City of Torsta "Water and Drainage." A gnome pops out of a door with a pencil in his ear comes out asking what we're doing. Mickey quickly creates a document and says that we're man-hole inspectors. The gnome buys the story and warns us there's a storm coming, so it may got wet down there. Koda does notice that there is still mud caked around the edge of this man-hole indicating the man did NOT go this way. While there, it begins raining. We decide to give up and head back. Taking a longboat to the academy.
We go to the Lenar Library to check the Job board and decide to take the Dur'argo Job, to solve the water magic problem in the district. Clearness, the Librarian tells us that the city collects the rain water into the sewers which direct the water to underground cisterns. Rather than a large interconnected system, there are lots of smaller independent systems. The Dur'argo cistern is likewise independent and old. Dwarves have been here a long time. This cistern also channels the water over cleansing stones. Luna creates a copy of the map with her calligraphy skill. The original poster from Zuran Bethal Dur'argo. We call a long boat, and the rain lets up.
The buildings here are smaller, 1-2 stories and made with stone, not brick. Many buildings look hundreds of years old. The sounds of hammers (from smiths, not the industrial magic hammers). The area has many dwarves about. We walk to the bethel and see a statue of a rough looking warrior to a diety. A group of children rush by us. The teacher is a short dwarf wearing a holy symbol with a concentric circles, the symbol of the guardian. She shows us to a fountain with flowing water, but the water coming out smells of rotten eggs. The water in the entire district smells like this. They've been collecting rain water in buckets since the water is contaminated. She takes us to an area in the district thats an island, where a man-hole is. We go down into the sewers approx 30-40 ft down looking for the source of the contamination.
The sewers are dark, Icarus summons 4 dancing lights ahead of us in a line. While exploring the sewers, we uncover traces or residue of an ooze. Continuing we round the corner and meet a water elemental. Koda speaks primordial and they begin talking. It warned us of a corruption and danger. Something killed a previous party from above. The elemental agrees to take us to the source of whatever is causing this corruption. We jump the 12 foot to the other side of the channel without falling in (except for Koda who jumps in the water.)
