Genasi
On Pasaulis Genasi are typically the result of individuals affected by the plane of Elemental Chaos which lies between the material plane and the Underworld. The inherent dormant planar essence manifests unexpectedly at birth, This "accident of birth" carries the raw power of the Elemental plane, often making genasi feel like harbingers of elemental chaos in an ordered world.
Their inherent elemental power often manifests itself as magical and many genasi of all six subspecies are sorcerers of variant powers. In Toresta most genasi are mages associated with the Toresta Polyarcana Academy, though a very famous air genasi Jerand Totulus captains the airship Far Seeker.Basic Information
Anatomy
Genasi embody the six elements. Air Genasi are of lithe build, light blue or green skin, faint breeze around them; can levitate and speak in whispers of wind. Earth genasi are stocky and heavy-set, stone-like or metallic skin, earthy scent; pass without trace and ignore difficult terrain. Fire genasi have fiery red, coal-black, or ashen skin that smolders; radiate heat, produce flames, and resist fire. Water genasi have sea-green hair, scaly or clammy skin, webbed fingers; swim speed, shape water, and hold breath longer. Lightning genasi have white hair and are quick and electric. They can summon up power to shock and are resistant to magic that uses those forces. Force genasi are sensitive to the unseen forces of nature and things like gravity and ley energy. They tend to beautiful, with silver eyes.
Genetics and Reproduction
Genasi tend to arise spontaneously from other species. Like tieflings and aasimar they are often outsiders in their own families and societies. They are unique in their form and the their traits seldom breed true, resulting in children that wholly have the traits of their non-genasi parent.
