Arcane Message Paper

Arcane message papers are used throughout Toresta to deliver communications. This ia a common magic item, in Toresta at any rate. The paper can contain a message or any useful information, such as the Index cards used in the Lenner library. When the note is written the author will designate a particular person or destination. The paper will then fold itself into an origami creature that can transport itself to the person or place designated. The creature construction is not bound by the common constraints of size, so the creature can be every bit as bit as the original paper, or even slightly larger. A bird shaped creature can fly, and this from is often used if the distance to the destination or person is greater than a few hundred feet. Arcane message paper is typically single use.

The index cards in the Lenner Library use a unique form of this which can locate any book or other item within the bounds of the Library. These particular cards have a more complex enchantment upon them which allows for a permanent connection between the linked item and the index card. They are also reusable.

Other types of unique arcane message paper are also produced. The Ten have a type which can only be read by specific creatures and types that can self destruct one they are read.

Standard arcane message paper is produced by the ream and is sold in stationary stores throughout Toresta. It is also sold in the student store in the Lenner Library.
