Great vault of Ivvec

Myth of founding

  Vault of Ivvec was found by the survivers of a party - a warrior, a sorcorer, a hunter and a tief. They had set out on a journey to find some food of the old world after a second bad harvest was threatening the survival of their people. Back in those ancient times, the Drudge still could not be seen and thus, they did not know if they would ever return. Yet, there were signs that the hunter new to watch out for - dead birds, foul ground, flashes at the edge of an eye. Many believed he had a special gift, one unique in that he could see the evil energy, yet he denied it. And so they set out - the warrior with their hammer, sorcorer with their flames, hunter with his bow and thief with his rope. For three weeks they searched and for three weeks they did not find a sign. Finally they were exhausted near a river next nearby blod. The hunter saw his teams exhaustion, and said he' ll scout ahead leaving the rest to have a drink. In desperation he followed the blod until he reached a blod nexus - a place where the ancient blood had exloded, leaving a star pattern into the ground. There he climed a pillar and looked at the world below. From there, he was amazed by what he saw - thousands of vaults, all burried by a deep deep layer of earth. And amongst those, one much bigger than the rest. When he returned to the others, he shared of these news, and the others followed him. First, they found hollow stone, and the warrior smashed it until it broke down. The thief shimmied down the rope, followed by the others. Sorcorers flames lit up the room for everyone to see. the hunter and the thief followed, and soon, after a few tunnels they had found a greaat hall. In it they found everything covered with dust. But the sorcorer called upon the ancient structure, and light appeared. The thief found and read the ancient maps, and so they found the vault of food, where it was guarded by powerful sentinels, spells and seals. But the warrior destroyed the sentinels, the sorcorer dispelled the magics and the thief broke the seals of the vault. When the vault was finally open, all of the party dined like kings of old.   After the feast, they returned to their people with the news. Those who believed them, followed, and, in time, many other vaults were discovered nearby by the party. The most important of them was the vault of Ivvec, where the sorcorer, ancestor of the Vel dynasty, found a trove of magical artefacts, including the first guiding wands and powerful flame magic. Thus, the foundation for the Great vault of Ivvec was laid.
