Felicari
Basic Information
Anatomy
Felitsani are a species of fur-covered, cat-like humanoids. They walk digitigrade and have long tails. Coloration varies widely, adopting a whole host of cat-like patterns, including tortoiseshell, tiger stripe, leopard spots, solid, and many other colors. Their muscles favor a tight, swinging walk, and also favor quick leaps. They are silent and agile jumpers.
Biological Traits
Generally, primary and secondary sexual characteristics of Felicari more closely resemble humans and other sapients than they do cats. Like many of the sapient races and unlike most other mammals, female Felicari possess permanent visible breasts. These are the most visible gender signifier, along with some traits that like tortoiseshell coloring that when found, are only found in females.
Genetics and Reproduction
Felitsani have a standard mammalian reproductive cycle, with bimonthly menses in females preceded by a heightened estrus. Like humans, elves, and other similar races, however, sexual activity and even fertility are not solely limited to that period. Felitsani are capable of interbreeding with most other sapient races.
Growth Rate & Stages
Felitsani grow and mature only slightly faster than humans. Young Felitsani are known as kittens, and frequently crawl on all fours for much longer than humans due, since their leg shape favors the stance. Felitsani begin to walk upright around age three or four.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Felitsani are omnivores, but their diet is dominated by meat and other proteins in contrast to the vegetables and grains of other races.
