Biological Origination Hypothesis

Biological origination is one of the three primary hypotheses (the others being magical origination and mixed origination) of the origin of different sapient (and subsapient) species. It posits that intelligent species evolved separately from different ancestors (i.e. Birdfolk originated from a common ancestor with griffins and dragons, while elves originated from a common ancestor with humans and Dwarves). This theory aligns with the religious doctrines of many faiths, at least with regards to Beastfolk. This hypothesis marshals its evidence primarily from evidence of some of these intermediate forms (i.e. Archaegriffin) in the fossil record, the weight of anatomical evidence, and the lack of evidence for any sort of overt magical intervention in the biology of modern species.
