Thousands of years ago, a metal vein was discovered by a clan of Dwarves. The Adaman Dwarves who discovered the unique metal ruined many picks trying to obtain it. It took the Adaman Dwarves several hundreds of years before they learned the secrets to forging the metal. The first item created was a pick axe which was said to explode any rock it struck, even with a glancing blow. As a result, the Adaman Dwarves decided to create more Adamantine Pick axes, which increased their mining yield and the location of more adamantine. The Adaman Dwarves named the material after their clan, and named it Adamantine. The Adaman Dwarves became masters of forging this new material over time, only sharing the information from select few.   Over time, more Adamantine veins were located. It was in the 23,000s when a boulder of adamantine had been located in a crater. It was discovered that the veins of Adamantine were not actually from within the earth, but meteorites that had been buried over time. With the information of how limited this alien material was, the price of adamantine sky rocketed. Many noble folks personal weapons are made from adamantine as a show of status.
