Synopsis
As Shaw, this day’s 3rd moon, rises high in the sky brightening the ever gloomy heavens of the Shadowfell, the sounds of clattering carriage wheels and rattling of skeletal steads fill the streets of Foolsgrave, the Shadowfell capital. The carriages carrying Barons from all across the land to the Obsidian Citadel which lays at the heart of Foolsgrave. The Barons are led to the grand ballroom.
The Raven Queen announces, “My dear Barons, on this day I shall die, but I will defy the very order of nature and refuse to wither. I have invited you here to bear witness to this display of tremendous ability. So now I bid you all, come stare upon your Queen’s resplendence.” The Barons are escorted up the citadel, and reach the roof, high up above the clouds, where things are set up for some light meals with tables.
The Raven Queen asked for a volunteer to kill her, Abbess-Baroness Carmen-Sophia Bruschetta volunteered and killed the queen in a single blow. From The Raven Queen’s corpse erupted the Raven Spirit, encasing every table in bubbles of shadow where they had to battle their own shadow. Baron Litus von Culus, who had earlier been made host to The Canary Spirit, channeled it’s power over tragedy and caused the ground beneath their table to collapse, sending the occupants of the bubble down to the landing on the floor below.
After conquering their shadows the group ran back up to the roof just in time for the shadow bubbles to dissolve as the Raven Queen is resurrected, re-absorbing the Raven Spirit. Litus forced The Canary Spirit from their body and offered it back to the Raven Queen, but it managed to focus its power to escape from her. The Gossip Gang attempted to recapture it, only successful when Baroness Ursa caught it in the maw of her bear form. The Spirit bonded to her and when threatened by the Raven Queen, the pair made a daring escape together.
Frustrated by how things had gone, The Raven Queen urged her love to steal the memories of all that had transpired that day, and
The Horned Queen did just that. Ghyslaine, Carmen-Sophia, and Litus however managed to resist the Fae’s power and retained their memories of that day; what they did with that knowledge, if anything, is another story.
And as Ursa soared away carried by wings of the Canary Spirit’s power, Tragedy Incarnate shared it’s story with her. It was one of many colour-coded entities that took the form of birds until the day that Stasis Incarnate, The Raven Spirit, trapped it’s siblings and drained their power growing more and more powerful.
