Rosethorn Bellegarde

Rosethorn Bellegarde (she/her) is a character played by Will [danvers] (he/him) in the Dragon Job one-shot. She is a wood-elf, hexblade warlock, with the soldier background.  

Description

She has tan skin with scars, brown eyes, long dark red hair with pink roses growing in it. She cares deeply about her family and village, and wants to avenge the dead and protect the survivors. But now that the Shadowfell-Feywild war is over, she's not really sure what to do with herself, and it doesn't help that she can't remember why or how the war ended. It's all disorienting, and she starts adventuring because it feels more normal. Rosethorn was born without her left hand, and wears a wooden prosthesis to hold her shield in combat. Other than that, she gets along well with just her right hand and her stump.  

Backstory

She grew up in a small village as the daughter of a woodcarver, but then her village got in the middle of the Shadowfell-Feywild war, and fey warriors killed most of the people. Someone from the Shadowfell offered Rosethorn a chance to get revenge and protect the surviving villagers, and she took it. She became a hexblade warlock and fought for the Shadowfell until the end of the war.  

Trivia

• At some point after the one-shot takes place, Rosethorn will become a vampire and found the House Bellegarde family of vampires. When she dies, her soul becomes tied to the sword the Shadowfell gave her, and the sword becomes the Bellegarde ancestral sentient weapon Rosethorn.
