Halfling

Halflings are a rare species in the Kingdom, but they are generally well respected amongst the common folk for their friendliness and sense of humour. Although long lived, halflings are mostly content living out a modest existence, and many do not travel far from where they were born. Those that travel or become adventurers are given great send offs by their families, who they may not see again for decades. These ambitious halflings are rare but are welcome in nearly any caravan due to the perception of them being nice people and great cooks.   There are a few halfling villages in the capital region, but the majority of halflings live as family units in larger settlements of humans and goblins. Many halflings end up running shops, inns or taverns, as this fits their natural charisma and desire to settle. These establishments can go back generations, some have even been run by the same family for nearly a thousand years.
