The Old Gods

Little is known about the Old Gods, and what tales of them survive amount to no more than myth and legend. The earliest surviving records of them date back to 666 BNG, but their origins are undocumented. Worship of them is almost nonexistent in modern Tilendrel, with the exception of a number of small cults, most notably the Ra'keth Brotherhood, a secretive organisation with its roots in the Gnomish lands.   The First   The First is referred to only as such due to being the earliest of the Old Gods to be mentioned by name in surviving texts. While no scholar has yet managed to properly translate their name into Common, many refer to them as Infernus, due to their documented powers over fire. The First is also believed to be responsible for the creation of the first tieflings of Tilendrel.   The Second   Following the naming pattern of the first, The Second is named for being the next-earliest of the Old Gods to be mentioned by name. While accounts of the exact exchange involved conflict, The Second is widely held responsible for creating the shunned Drow and Dark Dwarves.   The Third   The Third of the Old Gods is notable for being described more so as self-interested than evil. With domain over knowledge, The Third attempted to make a pact similar to those of the First and Second, but the mortals involved reneged on the deal, instead becoming hosts for the Quori and creating Tilendrel's first Kalashtar.   The Last   The Last is the least mentioned of the Old Gods, with even their actions in the Final Battle between the Seventy-Seven and the Old Gods rarely mentioned. While their specific abilities are unknown, The Last is believed to be the most powerful of the Old Gods.
