The Breaktown Thieves' Guild

"What's mine is mine. What's yours is also mine."
  • Corvus Guile
  • The Breaktown Thieves' Guild is a crime syndicate operating out of Breaktown in Tae Dendei, primarily focused on burglary, pickpocketing, confidence artistry, and racketeering. Led by a halfling named Corvus Guile, the guild played a significant part in the assassination of Khadgar Well.     History   One of the newer crime syndicates in Tae Dendei, the Breaktown Thieves' Guild was formed just 61 years ago from the combination of a number of smaller guilds operating throughout the area. While its base of operations remained in Breaktown, the guild's efforts at burglary and fraud were focused on the more affluent Government District and Uptown. While the guild was initially ruled by a hierarchy of different guild leaders based on influence and wealth, a series of assassination attempts left only Corvus Guile alive in the highest circle, though some underbosses remained.   In Finalset of 2642 ANG, Guile was approached by Euan Draegard on behalf of Cenne d'Grezze to propose a deal: unite with Hulon d'Grezze and the city's other crime syndicates to assassinate Khadgar Well. Only too happy to eliminate a troublesome councillor, Guile accepted. After Cenne d'Grezze's takeover, however, the city's new ruler used his knowledge of the Thieves' Guild's operations to take over a number of its holdings. Guile survived only by sneaking out of the city in a merchant's cart, though he returned to resume control of the syndicate after Draegard killed d'Grezze.   Notable Members
    • Corvus Guile, crime boss and retired confidence artist. The sole living member of the Thieves' Guild's upper leadership, Guile is infamous for trusting no-one and surviving multiple assassination attempts.
    • Dana 'Obsidian' Brecca, guild underboss and enforcer. Surviving the series of assassination attempts both by aligning herself with Guile and through pure strength, Dana oversees the guild's protection racket, but isn't afraid to get her hands dirty should the situation require it.
