Larry the Tabaxi Jester

Larry the Tabaxi Jester is an (apparently) fictional character, appearing in a number of children's books of unknown origin and author. Some suspect they came from another dimension, others that they are a cryptic prophecy from the gods.   Known Books
  • Larry The Tabaxi Jester and the Prisoner of Evendon - Once owned by Bruen Vickleberry, stolen by Euan Draegard, and now in the possession of an unknown fire elemental in Tae Dendei.
  • Larry the Tabaxi Jester and the Order of the Griffin - Conjured from an unknown location by a dwarven wizard, now missing in an accident involving planar portals.
  • Larry the Tabaxi Jester and the Half-Orc Prince - Kept in the royal treasury of Krin'garr, originally acquired by Ahkra herself.
  • Larry the Tabaxi Jester and the Philosopher's sending stone - In the possession of a Gnomish cult in Bentrelhold who worship Larry and are obsessed with finding the other books.
  • Larry the Tabaxi Jester and the Goblet of Everflame - In the Litherian Emperor's personal study, hidden in a chest behind a painting. This is known only to the Captain of the Guard and possibly the Emperor himself.
  • Larry the Tabaxi Jester and mordenkainen's magnificent mansion of Secrets - Hidden in the back room of a tavern in Southsea under a number of beer barrels after it was lost by a drunken sailor who'd found it in a treasure chest.
  • Larry the Tabaxi Jester and the curse-bestowed Child - Written in play form, the script is hidden among a number of financial documents in the back of a Hallermin theatre.
Origin Speculation   Though no one person knows the location of all 6 books, they are a subject of rampant speculation among the plane-hopping mage community. Some scholars believe that Larry is a real person in another world on the Material Plane, others that he is simply a fictional character. Others still believe that the books are not from another world at all, and that they are a message from the gods or some other cosmic force. At least one cult has been formed around the books, and there may be more.
