Lore and Influence

Vael, the Dark Justirant, is the divine embodiment of Pride—the belief that the strong are born to rule and the weak to serve. He is the King of Hell, the Architect of Tyranny, and the First Ruler of the Infernal Court. His dominion is absolute, his ambition limitless, and his conviction unshakable. He is the god of empire, of unyielding law, of the iron hand that shapes creation by will alone.

Vael’s pride is not mere vanity; it is divine purpose. He believes himself the rightful heir to order, the only being strong enough to impose structure upon the chaos left by lesser gods. His creed is harsh but consistent: perfection requires authority, and freedom breeds ruin. The righteous may call him tyrant, but he calls himself savior.

Where Doreon shines light to inspire, Vael wields it to expose weakness. Where Justir enforces law for justice, Vael enforces it for control. He is the shadow cast by civilization itself—the will that builds great nations and crushes them beneath its heel when they forget who rules them.

Nessus, the Infernal Throne

Vael’s realm, Nessus, is a world forged from iron and fire. Its cities rise in precise, terrible symmetry, built upon the bones of conquered realms. Rivers of molten brass flow between black citadels, where legions of devils march in perfect formation.

At the heart of this infernal empire stands the Throne of the Justirant, an obsidian seat etched with the laws of Hell—ten thousand unbreakable edicts that define the hierarchy of all things. Vael sits in silence upon it, his gaze sweeping across eternity, judging every soul according to its strength, its will, and its usefulness.

Those who served him well in life command legions in death. Those who defied him serve in chains—proof that all rebellion ends in subjugation.

Worship and Patronage

Vael is the patron of rulers, warlords, generals, and those who crave dominion. His worshipers are found wherever power concentrates—on thrones, in courts, in councils, and in the hearts of tyrants who believe themselves chosen to rule.

His temples are monuments to hierarchy—tall, imposing, and built with perfect order. Worship is not supplication but submission; prayers are oaths of obedience, and failure to uphold them is punished with merciless precision.

Vael’s priests are called Magistrates of Flame, their vestments trimmed in black and gold. They do not preach kindness, but strength. To them, obedience is virtue, and disobedience is sin. Mercy, they teach, is the death of progress.

Orders of the Infernal King

The Black Pact. Sorcerers, politicians, and warlocks who trade souls and promises in Vael’s name. They believe power is a currency—and every debt must be paid.

The Crimson Chain. A militant order that enforces Vael’s dominion with fire and blade. They march under banners of black iron, leaving silence and submission in their wake.

The Architects of Dominion. Scholars and lawmakers who believe that freedom is chaos. They codify the laws of empire, building systems so rigid that rebellion becomes unthinkable.

Common Infernal Relics

The Crown of Iron Dominion. Bestows the bearer with an aura of command—those of weaker will cannot disobey.
The Brand of Authority. A sigil burned into the skin of Vael’s champions, marking them as his chosen enforcers.
The Scepter of the Ninth Flame. A weapon forged in Nessus that can bend lesser infernal creatures to the wielder’s will.

The Infernal Codex: The Path of Pride

Pride, Vael teaches, is not sin but destiny. The world is ruled by those who have the will to seize it.

  • Rule Without Doubt. Uncertainty is weakness. Command, and the world will obey.
  • Order Above All. Chaos is the enemy of greatness. Every being must have its place—and know it.
  • Mercy Is Folly. To show kindness is to show weakness; to show weakness is to invite ruin.
  • Perfection Through Power. The hand that shapes must be unyielding. Dominion is divine.
  • Break the Proud to Prove the Strong. Pride that cannot endure challenge is unworthy of rule.
