Lore and Influence

Rhemar, the Master of Legions, is the divine embodiment of Wrath—the cold fury of conquest, the vengeance that never fades, and the iron will that refuses surrender. He is the Lord of Iron, the Breaker of Oaths, and the Unyielding Hand of Hell.

Once a war-god of order and valor, Rhemar’s thirst for victory turned to obsession. He believed that peace was a lie told by the fearful and that mercy weakened the strong. When his crusade against chaos consumed his own divine kin, he was cast down into the Shadow Court, where his rage only grew. From there he forged legions of the damned and declared eternal war on all who would deny him dominion.

His wrath is not mindless rage—it is precise, deliberate, and merciless. Rhemar is the god of calculated destruction, of vengeance planned across centuries. His followers do not fight for honor or glory; they fight for conquest and the annihilation of defiance itself.

Where Vael rules through hierarchy, Rhemar enforces through slaughter. Where Lurea tempts with desire, Rhemar conquers with terror. He is the fire that forges tyrants, the storm that razes nations, and the silence after all opposition has been ground to ash.

The Black Bastion

Rhemar’s realm, The Black Bastion, looms across the plains of Avernus like an eternal scar upon creation. Its walls are forged from the bones of fallen armies, bound with iron chains thicker than towers.

Within, infernal forges thunder day and night, birthing endless weapons for the divine legions of wrath. Rivers of molten steel flow through the fortress, feeding colossal engines of war. Above, the sky burns crimson as storms of blood and fire rage eternally—each thunderclap a drumbeat of his fury.

At the Bastion’s heart lies the Throne of Chains, a jagged iron seat where Rhemar himself broods in silence. His gaze pierces realms unseen, seeking new wars to wage, new names to burn from history.

Worship and Patronage

Rhemar is the patron of conquerors, executioners, and generals, of soldiers who see compassion as treason and strength as the only truth. His cults thrive in war-torn empires and militaristic states, often hidden beneath banners of honor and discipline until the moment they strike.

His priests, called the Iron Prophets, teach that wrath is divine justice, that peace is submission, and that every insult must be avenged with destruction. They anoint warriors not with holy water but with blood drawn from their own flesh, marking them as weapons in Rhemar’s eternal crusade.

Temples to Rhemar are not sanctuaries—they are armories. Their altars are anvils, their prayers are battle cries, and their sacraments are oaths sworn in blood and steel.

Orders of the Lord of Iron

The Iron Gauntlet. Fanatical knights who enforce order through terror. They believe that every act of mercy is treason against strength.

The Crimson Pact. Warlocks and strategists who channel Rhemar’s rage into devastating campaigns, binding souls to his cause through infernal contracts of war.

The Fist of Ruin. Mercenaries and executioners who fight for no nation but Rhemar’s will, razing cities as offerings to their god.

Common Infernal Relics

The Helm of Unending Fury. Fills its wearer with tireless rage, allowing them to fight without fatigue until all foes are dead.
The Chains of the Fallen Banner. Shackles that bind defeated enemies, forcing them to march eternally under Rhemar’s command.
The Blade of Broken Peace. A cursed sword that burns hotter with every life it takes, feeding on war and hatred.

The Codex of Iron: The Path of Wrath

Rhemar’s doctrine is carved into steel, each line a command to destroy, conquer, and endure.

  • Strike Without Hesitation. Delay is weakness; hesitation is death.
  • Rage Is Purpose. Let fury be the forge that hardens your will.
  • The Strong Rule. Mercy breeds rebellion; fear ensures obedience.
  • Vengeance Is Eternal. Every slight must be answered in blood.

Peace Is a Lie. Only in conquest is order made pure.
