Apertus Glamour

It's how you can recognise the poor bastards in Rouge Sables, their glamour camps are places with a constant sickly glow.

  A magical disease from use of Glamour, a product for magical fashion in Rouge Sables.     Apertus Glamour is caused by the process of refining Glamour and weaving it into materials, the process of doing so without effective magical protections (typically an Abjurer's Ward or a Mage Armour) will cause the individuals hands to take on a dim glow typically matching the colour of Glamour they are working on. Many who wear faulty Glamoured clothing will also gain this effect that leads to slight discomfort and the glowing effect.   This effect is easily put to an end and cured with a lesser restoration, paladin lay on hands or a simple week's rest.   However, in Rouge Sables, the need for money and lack of provision for those who can't work causes individuals to continue to work on refining glamour despite their illnesses.   This has led to Apertus Glamour becoming a more severe infection that causes individuals to glow incessantly and be in extreme pain for several days as their body begins to mutate and change into glamour light.   Glamour Light is the final stage of the painful infection when the body's skin is torn and melted away leaving only a humanoid and feral shape made of golden psychic and radiant light that cannot be cured.   A very small amount of individuals have reached the final stage of Apertus Glamour and not become Glamour Light, instead they have succeeded in shaping their bloodline into a creature of light and energy, drawing from the other planes of existence that are known as Apertus . (These are the 'aasimar' of Thysia). Though this is exceedingly rare in Thysia.   The spread of Apertus Glamour has led to several Glamour Light assaults throughout Epizonia but notably centered on Rouge Sables.
