Elves
Elves claim to be the first race, the one from which all others evolved, and though there is some evidence that could justify this claim, nothing has been proven.
The Elves are a noble race, with a very strict set of moral codes by which they live. The problem that other races have with the Elves, is that the Elves tend to project their moral codes onto others, and judge them when they fail to live up the the supposedly superior moral code.
Elves tend to be the tallest among the Races, though some Humans and Orcs have been known to rival this height, but lack the physical bearing of many of the other Races. Orcs, Dwarves, and Humans, for instance, are all known to be generally stronger than Elves.
Elves are said to have the longest lifespans of the Races, though this has been hard to substantiate as Elves guard their history with belligerent passion.
Though all the Races have access to some measure of Magic, it is said that Elves do not suffer many of the adverse consequences that are seen as going hand-in-hand with Spellcasting.
Elves are a good and noble people, who have a preference for living in woodland areas, and have kingdoms that span through the vastest forests of this world.
They live simple lives both working the land and hunting the forests, living both off the land and for the land. Their cities often blend into the land around it, making the most of natural forms and incorporating nature into their midst.
Elves are tall and athletic, with anywhere from blond to dark brown hair. Their defining feature is their sharply pointed ears that none of the other races possess to the same degree. Though they are slow to reproduce (usually having one child every 300-600 years), childbirth never causes death and they are blessed with the gift of long life that allows them to have several children though almost never more than one at a time.

Geographic Origin and Distribution
There is known to be a Kingdom of Elves on the Berok Continent, though access is barred to those without an Elven escort by some sort of magical barrier that is said to prevent even Dragons from finding the Kingdom unaided.
A Kingdom of Elves elected to become part of the Alagarian Empire when it formed, and while their Kingdom's location is known to be in the North-Eastern Mountains of the Empire, again, the Elves possess some sort of Magic that prevents outsiders from finding their way in the mountains without an escort.
A series of communities of Elves exists in the Western Central mountains of the Empire, but they are known to be unorganized communities with little communication between each other or the outside world, and have been known to withdraw rather than fight when disputes become hostile, tough wars between Human Kingdoms in the region have prevented anyone from conquering them.
