Morgoth

Morgoth was untamed and wild until elven and dwarven kingdoms discovered this unknown land. They quickly found settlements and began to explore discovering new races and animals foreign from Yaldica. It was centuries after when the Halim Amakir united the continent under 1 banner. He made strides to create major hubs for his empire, but after centuries madness claimed him. After the event of The Shattering, the loss of the capitol city was too much. Left leaderless the bound factions fractured and began a fight for supremacy. After decades of strife there was no clear winner. Over time the various factions signed ceasefires with one another and began to rebuild what was lost.

Geography

This is a land of thick forests with swampy pockets. A mountain range divides it in half. The Southern regions are rich fields suitable for farming.

History

Bogstuv Steinlight, Master Scribe of the Mountain King, wrote during the first weeks of landing, "We anchored at the first beachhead that we could find. Our sailors were quick to beach and assemble camp. To our east, a great mountain range that stretches as far north as one could see. An exploration team came back with news that there are nothing but forests and rivers west of our camp. After the first 2 weeks at camp, we soon discovered that creatures lived upon the mountain. Humanoid, grayish brown, standing well over 3 of ours stacked together. They'd throw small boulders from high points or bash our defensive lines with trees. The only thing that kept the force from despair was the fact that the creatures tactics were primitive and would normally leave us alone at certain points. The only options we had were to go west/north until a boat of supplies and men arrived."

Tourism

Shinnaric is the trade hub of the continent. Merchants travel from all over the world to peddle their wares here and sample the decadent life style which Shinnaric's elites live daily.
