Dwarven Kingdom of the Elderridge Mountains
Dungur-Galdur is a small dwarven kingdom in the Elderridge Mountains. Dungur-Galdur is ruled by the dwarves of Clan Elderbeard. This kingdom is unique among dwarven kingdoms as its known for its magical prowess rather than its smithing or martial prowess. Dungur-Galdur is also one of the few dwarven kingdoms that operates a port, so the kingdom is able to able to make a great deal of money through trade, especially because many dwarves would rather deal with a port operated by dwarves than humans.
The current ruler of King Valdaim Elderbeard and the capital of Dungur-Galdur is Tharngurum
Structure
The ruling clan of Dungur-Galdur is Clan Elderbeard and thus the leader of Clan Elderbeard is the king of Dungur-Galdur. The kingdom of Dungur-Galdur uses seniority succession. The eldest of Clan Elderbeard inherits the kingship when the previous king dies, but there is a stipulation that the heir must be a mage of sufficient skill otherwise they are passed over.
There are several clans in Dungur-Galdur other than Clan Elderbeard and generally the heads of these other clans serve as advisors to the king and usually serve on his council.
