I took this library job for two reasons. For one, I love books. I absolutely love them. I love the way they smell, the way they feel in nice neat rows on the books shelves, the way they sit quietly in your hands like solid pieces of thought. But the other reason is that I can't stand other people. Well, no, that's not exactly true. There are plenty of good people. But the vast majority of them completely ruin it when they talk to me about all of the superficial, mundane, and pointless things in their lives. I'm a nice quiet introvert that just wants to be left alone to read. Go play with your Internet or something.

Augusta would be considered to be on a mental spectrum that sometimes, but not always, includes the word "Asperger's". But she operates at such a so-called "high functioning" level that the vast majority of people only consider her "odd" instead of disabled. Of course, every one of these descriptions is solely based on the perspective of the neuro-typical. Augusta is perfectly fine with being who she is without a need for any other such opinions.
She has a very high IQ. She'd belong in MENSA if they weren't all such pricks. She solves complex mathematical equations for fun.
Social
Social Aptitude
She is an extreme introvert. But don't confuse this with being shy. She's nice and kind and quiet, and if she needs to speak her mind, she will. Or if someone asks for her help—politely—to find a book, she's happy to help. But she doesn't like small talk, socializing, or being out in public.
Fortunately, most of the time, people don't notice her, which is perfectly how she likes it to be.
As mentioned in Augusta's "mental" profile, all of this may be due to her neuro-divergence. But, to also repeat, this is of little concern to her.
Hobbies & Pets
She has a little orange kitten named Itchy.
She likes science, but especially astrophysics, electrical engineering, geology, and gourmet cooking. She also likes puzzles and solving complex mathematical and geometric problems for fun.
