Macha

Macha has assisted many kings in a victorious fight as their advisor. Often only revealing her identity when the war is over. Unlike her sisters, she does not possess the prophetic ability but instead owns the gift to cast vicious curses.
This combination led to a tale were she became pregnant with the child of a mortal and warned her lover not to tell anyone about her. Of course, the lover didn't listen and boasted to the king that his wife was a divine being who could outrun any horse. The king was angered and forced the highly pregnant Macha to run a race against his fasted horse despite her pleading and warnings. She won the race and gave birth when she crossed the finish line. During labour she cursed all the men of the country for nine times nine generations to suffer the pain of childbirth in their most despairing moments and that the last generation would be impotent. After that, she took her newborn babe and disappeared.
