The Fomorians are described in old texts as giant beings ranging from 5 metres to as much as 8 metres. They were the embodiment of the chaotic and destructive forces of nature and thus had enormous strength and power. These days the Fomorians are remembered as hideous, deformed monsters, even if Elatha mac Delbaith is living proof that is incorrect.
However, the appearance of the Fomorians was decided by their thoughts and actions. For all their tremendous strength Fomorians were unable to hide the ugliness inside and the more malevolent one was the more deformed their form.

The Fomorians were once a race of godlike entities that fought to rule the world as gods. The last war of the gods was between them and the Túatha Dé Danann.
